Clan of Pashaevs control pro-governmental media
The clan of Pashaevs in Azerbaijan lays hold on mass media being controlled by local authorities. According to “Azadlig” to control mass media loyal to government, a special center will be founded by the Pashaevs.
Editor of “Zerkalo” paper Tofig Abbasov will chair the center. Abbasov was not welcomed in “Zerkalo”, some renowned journalists have even left the paper in protest to him.
The clan of Pashaevs has targeted media loyal to Minister of Emergency Situations Qemaladdin Heydarov. “But they are taking measures not only against Heydarov only, thus exercising control over all media coverage,” “Azadlig” reported.
