19 tons of FSB latex gloves hijacked in St. Petersburg
Unidentified thieves stole a truckload of latex gloves owned by the Federal Security Service from a street in St. Petersburg, RIA Novosti reported.
A semitrailer loaded with 19 tons of gloves went missing from its parking spot in the city’s Nevsky district somewhere between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. Sunday, Konkretno.ru news web site reported.
The truck belonged to an unidentified transport firm, but the gloves were property of an FSB-owned concrete maker, the report said.
The sum of damages could not be immediately established. The vehicle was not insured against hijacking. It also remained unclear what the gloves were intended for.
