Seyran Ohanyan receives EU Special Representative Philippe Lefort
Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan has received a delegation led by EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia Philippe Lefort, Defense Ministry’s press office reported.
At the meeting, the sides discussed the Karabakh settlement process and Armenia-EU defense cooperation.
They highlighted the necessity of taking action towards easing tension at the line of contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijani troops, particularly taking measures to strengthen mutual confidence. Both Seyran Ohanyan and Philippe Lefort attached importance to introduction of international mechanisms for unbiased investigation of ceasefire violations on the front line, the source said.
