Levon Aronian, Gabriel Sargsyan found Grandmaster School
A Grandmaster School has been founded in Yerevan by Levon Aronian and Gabriel Sargsyan. The aim of the new chess centre founded on the initiative of two friend-grandmasters and with the sponsorship of the Armenian Chess Federation is to contribute to the chess advancement of 10-18 years old promising children, armchess.am reported.
Levon and Gabriel are planning to set up training courses with the most talented young chess players of the country on the basis of individual approach and work. It refers to the prize-winners in World and European Championships, the chess players who have taken the 1st-2nd places in Armenian Youth Championships and the girl champions.
Two-three sessions will be held in a year. Each will last two weeks. Together with Aronian and Sargsyan other experienced specialists will be involved in the training work.
