Shortcomings unveiled in Dink’s trial
Turkey’s Chamber of Control revealed a report of investigation on “Agos” daily Editor-in-Chief Hrant Dink’s murder case, “Hurriyet” reported.
The chamber kicked of the investigation as President Abdullah Gul assigned them to.
The report deeply criticizes Turkish state and judicial structures for not preventing Dink’s murder and for the shortcomings unveiled during the trial.
“Security and gendarmerie officers were informed about the risks threatening Dink’s life, but they didn’t put forth efforts to prevent it,” the report reads.
It’s reported that shortcomings were unveiled, particularly the investigation of state officers were biased and inefficient.
