Armenian side owns Hovhannes Tumanyan’s Tbilisi apartment
Hovhannes Tumanyan’s apartment in Tbilisi has been finally purchased by the Armenian side – purchase and sale transaction has been carried out, pan-Armenian foundation has signed an agreement, and currently the Chairman of Armenian Union of Writers Levon Ananyan has the keys of the house, Mr. Ananyan told Panorama.am from Tbilisi.
The owner of the house Archil Lejava has sold the property in $145thousand. Mayor of the city of Gyumri Vardan Ghukasyan and his brothers have bought the house.
According to L. Ananyan Tumanyan’s apartment will become a cultural center, but its function is still undefined. Armenian Government, Armenian community of Georgia will define it.
