Aravot: Approximate picture of HAK election list
Aravot daily reports that leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan tops the proportional representation list of opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK). He is followed by Chairman of People’s Party of Armenia Stepan Demirchyan, Chairman of Republic Party’s Political Council Aram Sargsyan and Chairman of Armenian National Movement Board Aram Manukyan.
“Logically, they are to be followed by Coordinator of HAK Levon Zurabyan and editor of Haykakan Zhamanak Nikol Pashinyan. However, according to the Electoral Code, every sixth candidate on party lists is to be female,” writes the newspaper.
Manushak Petrosyan and Lyudmila Sargsyan competed for that place. The issue was solved in favor of Lyudmila Sargsyan, followed by Nikol Pashinyan, says the source.
The mother-in-law of head of Ter-Petrosyan’s Administration, public figure Natalya Martirosyan will be also included in the list.
Former Deputy Prosecutor General Gagik Jhangiryan and ex-Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan will also be included in the election list of Armenian National Congress.
