No official document on Aghdam events of February 1992 adopted by German Bundestag
Azerbaijani media spread misinformation on alleged adoption of a document by German Bundestag, backing the Azerbaijani version of the Aghdam events of February 1992, named as “Khojaly events” by Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani sources cite the press service of Azerbaijan’s MFA, saying that allegedly the document was adopted based on a petition to Bundestag from the Germany-Azerbaijan Society.
However, the European Center for Artsakh (EUCFA) confirmed the report as false.
EUCFA took screenshots of all petitions on the Bundestag website, revealing that no petition on Khojaly had been posted as of February 26, 2012.
The European Center for Artsakh also calls attention to an article in German Spiegel on Azerbaijani lobbying mechanisms in German Bundestag: http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,806769,00.html
