Never again Sumgait to be repeated
Never again: the members of “Miasin” movement rose torches high on Monday evening in Tsitsernakaberd depicting those words.
“Never again the crime against humanity to be repeated as it happened 24 years ago in the city of Sumgait,” explained the participants.
The representative of the movement paid tribute to the victims of Sumgait tragedy in the Memorial of Armenian Genocide and put flowers round the eternal fire.
In 1988 a state supported slaughter and massacre took place in Armenian populated city of Sumgait, where several hundreds of people were murdered. Azerbaijanis killed, tortured and raped.
