Tokmajyan: Even France plays double game
“I adore France for its culture and values but I see that even France plays a double game,” sculptor Levon Tokmajyan told reporters in Yerevan, commenting on the decision of the French Constitutional Council on the bill criminalizing the Armenian Genocide denial.
“France wants to lose neither the votes of Turks nor the votes of Armenians,” said he.
The intellectual called on to really fight for the truth.
“The world is a clash of interests. I do something because it is useful. Who doesn’t know that Turks killed Turks during the events in Khojaly? But the Khojaly massacre is recognized as genocide instead of Sumgait. Armenia is still weak, and therefore should move forward learning lessons from history and from its failures,” said the sculptor.
