Iranian studies expert: Armenia-Iran relations not to change
“Iran’s strategy is determined by the spiritual leader, the president just carries it out. If the president changes, the rhetoric may also change but the essence of the policy will not change,” Iranian studies expert Gohar Iskandaryan told reporters in Yerevan, commenting on Iran’s internal problems.
Dwelling on the regional developments, the expert noted that military operations in the territory of Iran are not beneficial to the United States, either, because the war could create chaos in the entire region.
Gohar Iskandaryan also expressed her opinion about the possible impact of the Iranian presidential elections on Armenia-Iran relations.
“I am convinced that whoever is the next president of Iran, relations between Armenia and Iran are so deep that they will not change,” said the expert.
