Iranian official alarms Iranians maltreated in Azerbaijan
The Republic of Azerbaijan officially considers Iran a hostile country, Iranian FARS news agency said in a story. A reliable source of FARS has warned the Iranians to restrain from visiting Azerbaijan during Nowruz days.
“According to the bitter experience of previous years, Iranians are maltreated in Azerbaijan during Nowruz days, drugs are thrown into the pockets of Iranians, in the aftermath of which today dozens of Iranians are jailed in Azerbaijan,” FARS reporter writes.
“Azerbaijani custom officers maltreat Iranians visiting Azerbaijan, local police officers fine hundreds, thousands dollars from Iranian drivers,” Chairman of organization on Iranian issues in Azerbaijan Mir Ghasem Mowmen said.
