European Women’s Championship
Lilit Galojan and Maria Kursova beat Elena Cherednichenko and Marta Michna in the 9th round of the European Women’s Championship in Gaziantep, Turkey. Elina Danielian drew with Thanh Trang Hoang while Lilit Mkrtchian and Anna Hairapetian lost to Salome Melia and Ezgi Nezihe.
Almira Skripchenko drew with Aleksandra Goryachkina while Nelli Alexanian, representing Russia, lost to Elizaveta Bronnikova.
Elina Danielian is currently 11th with 6 points. She is 1.5 points behind leader, Anna Muzychuk. Almira Skripchenko is 25th with 5.5 points. Maria Kursova is 27th and Lilit Mkrtchian is 36th. Lilit Galojan has 4.5 points (57th). Nelli Alexanian and Anna Hairapetian are 85th and 91st, respectively, with 3 points each.
