Hovik & Jonik Abrahamyans not to run in elections
According to Zhoghovurd daily, neither former Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan nor his brother, former MP Jonik Abrahamyan will run in the parliamentary elections. RPA will nominate Karine Poghosyan as a candidate for parliament instead of Abrahamyan brothers in constituency No.17 in Artashat. The newspaper found out that Poghosyan, a physicist, is the headmaster of Artashat school No.1.
“RPA has just selected a neutral person, not a representative of some Artashat clan,” according to the source.
