Turkish government funds reconstruction of Armenian Church
Armenian Church Tachoron located in the Turkish city of Malatia, where Hrant Dink was born and another church in village Venk will be reconstructed as Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism has allocated money for this, Turkish news site Sondakika reported.
Governor of Malatia Ulvi Saran told the reporters that city’s cultural heritage, holding the traces of civilizations, belongs to them. The reconstruction of the churches is planned to finish in 2013.
Church of Tachoron was built 280 years ago.
