Stage of State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre to be repaired
Austrian experts arrive in Armenia next week to repair the stage of State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Armenia after A. Spendiaryan. The renovation work will resume in April-May, head of the theatre Kamo Hovhannisyan told Panorama.am.
The actors will hold their rehearsals in rehearsal rooms and the performances will be held in other halls in Yerevan and regions able to host opera and ballet performances.
The state has allocated 8 million AMD for the renovation work of the stage.
State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Armenia after A. Spendiaryan was founded in 1932. State Opera Theatre was built in 1940 by Alexander Tamanyan’s plan.
