EurAsEC Interstate Council Moscow meeting to focus on EurAsEC reorganization
The reorganization of EurAsEC is the key issue on the agenda of the EurAsEC Interstate Council meeting in Moscow, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said addressing the meeting opening ceremony, a Panorama.am correspondent reports from Moscow.
At a meeting on December 19, 2011, the EurAsEC Interstate Council decided to meet in March and postponed the discussions on the EurAsEC reorganization, according to Medvedev. The key issue on the agenda of today’s meeting is decisions regarding implementation of decisions made at the meeting in December, aimed at reorganization of EurAsEC, said Medvedev.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is also attending the meeting of EurAsEC Interstate Council in Moscow, with heads of other EurAsEC member and observer states.
According to official estimates, the decisions to be made at EurAsEC Moscow meeting “will give new impetus to integration processes in Eurasia.”
