Miguel Angel Lotina named new Villarreal coach
Villarreal have announced on their official website that they have appointed Miguel Angel Lotina as the club's new head coach with immediate effect, Goal.com reported.
The 54-year-old will take charge of the Villarreal training for the first time in Monday morning's session, and will be presented to the press afterwards.
Lotina had been out of work ever since he left Deportivo La Coruna in the summer of 2011 after the club's relegation to the Segunda Division.
Molina was promoted to the Villarreal first team from the reserve side back in December to replace the sacked Juan Carlos Garrido, but guided the side to only three victories in his 11 league games in charge.
Lotina's first match at the helm will be against Real Madrid in La Liga on Wednesday.
