Man City to offer Dzeko to Real Madrid in Higuain exchange
Edin Dzeko is considering quitting Manchester City in the summer, The Sun reported.
The Bosnia striker has not requested a transfer but Etihad bosses are aware of his unhappiness over his lack of first-team opportunities.
And now Dzeko, 26, could be set for a swap deal with Real Madrid's Argy striker Gonzalo Higuain as boss Jose Mourinho is a long-term admirer.
Higuain, 24, is in his sixth season at the Bernabeu and has hinted he will be looking to leave.
City boss Roberto Mancini is keen to partner him with his Argentina team-mate Sergio Aguero.
Dzeko's people have alerted Europe's top clubs about his availability, including Bayern Munich, who were not interested.
He joined City for Ј27million from Wolfsburg in January 2011 and has 13 league goals, despite starting just 14 games.
