Raffi Hovhannisian’s initiative rejected
Heritage Party Chairman Raffi Hovhannisian’s initiative “those who consider themselves opposition parties, alliance, self-nominated candidates are encouraged to hold panel discussions leaving in each electoral district one joint opposition candidate” has been rejected both by Armenian National Congress (HAK) and ARF.
Raffi Hovhannisian told the reporters their envoys were assigned to contact with opposition parties – HAK and ARF to hold panel discussions focusing on a joint agenda and solutions.
“ARF considered the discussion untimely, while HAK received our envoy. We proposed to have a joint candidate in each electoral district, however our initiative has been rejected. I regret for that,” he said.
