Raffi Hovannisian withdrawing candidacy in constituency No.7 race
Chairman of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian told a meeting at the Union of Political Scientists of Armenia that he will withdraw his candidacy in election race in Yerevan’s constituency No.7 today.
Raffi Hovannisian and Nikol Pashinyan run in constituency No.7, with RPA-backed Samvel Alexanyan also running in the same election district. Pashinyan was surprised to learn about Hovannisian’s nomination.
“Frankly speaking, I was surprised to see Raffi Hovannisian’s name among the election candidates,” Pashinyan said in a statement.
