Parliamentary candidates to be banned from making huge expenditures
According to Zhoghovurd, Chairman of Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan has promised a financial assistance to PAP majority candidates provided that they give the money back to him if they lose elections. However, PAP spokesperson Khachik Galstyan refuted it.
Hraparak daily writes that Gagik Tsarukyan gives USD 1 million to each majority candidate.
“We have information that PAP will be banned from making huge expenditures, with law enforcers having been told to hold both bribers and those taking bribes. After several demonstrative arrests, many will give up their intention to become an MP with the help of money,” writes the daily.
