Ahmadinejad says Iran to survive even if fails oil treaties for 3 years
Even if Iran fails oil treaties for three years, the country will easily survive, Iranian news agency FARS quotes President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as saying.
“Some countries imposing sanctions against Iranian oil are attempting to cause problems, however, I would like to underscore that even if Iran doesn’t sell oil for three years, the country will easily survive,” said Iran’s president.
Iranian “khabaronline.ir” news site quotes Iranian Oil Minister Rostam Ghasemi as saying that Iran has already halted oil export to Greece.
European Union states passed a decision on January 23 imposing oil embargo on Iran. The EU states are supposed to halt oil import from Iran by the month of July.
