Conflict between ARF and PAP in Ijevan
Haykakan Zhamanak reports: “Rumors circulate in Ijevan that a conflict has broken out between Mayor Vardan Ghalumyan, member of PAP, and his deputy Suren Manukyan, member of ARF. Rumors say the Mayor demanded to collect votes for Prosperous Armenia from the office staff, but Suren Manukyan, 29th candidate on ARF proportional list, refused to carry out the order. Even Hrant Margaryan and Gagik Tsarukyan tried to smooth over the conflict. More reliable sources say Manukyan wrote a resignation letter but Ghalumyan refused to sign it.”
The paper contacted with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor, but both of them denied the rumors about the conflict.
