Costner says Lady Diana wanted sequel to The Bodyguard
Kevin Costner reveals he was working on a sequel to “The Bodyguard” with British royal Diana, Princess of Wales, before she died in 1997, contactmusic.com report said.
He says, “Diana and I had been talking about doing ‘Bodyguard 2,’ and I told her I would take care of her just the same way that I took care of Whitney. She wanted me to write it for her. I said, ‘I’ll tailor it for you if you’re interested.’ She goes, ‘I am interested.’”
The movie star admits he was upset when publicists played down reports that the tragic princess was considering the movie role - because it made him look foolish for telling a reporter the film project was in the works.
In a taped interview with U.S. newsman Anderson Cooper, which will air in America next month (May12), the Dances With The Wolves star reveals he and Diana had a number of conversations about the film - and she was "interested" in becoming his leading lady.
