Agriculture Minister visits Shirak region
Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan traveled to Shirak region Friday, Ministry’s press office reported.
As part of his visit, the Minister met with local authorities and heads of agricultural companies.
The meetings were also attended by Deputy Governors Seyran Petrosyan and Harutyun Arshakyan.
Sergo Karapetyan stressed that the agricultural sector achieved good performance last year and outlined the agricultural priorities – creation of village cooperatives, modernization of farm machinery and equipment, provision of low interest loans, seeds, fertilizers and diesel fuel to villagers.
Cattle breeding assistance programs are underway, the Minister said.
According to him, this year too, there are all conditions for villagers in Shirak region to be able to sell their harvest at reasonable prices and in time.
