Hovhannes Shahinyan busy with his wife’s campaign
Former head of Arabkir administrative district Hovhannes Shahinyan is leaving RPA, Haykakan Zhamanak reports.
The paper contacted Shahinyan who confirmed the report but refused to explain the reasons for his decision.
“I am busy with my wife’s campaign,” Shahinyan told the paper but denied claims that he decided to leave the party after his wife, editor of 168 Zham Satik Seyranyan was registered as a majority candidate in constituency No.4.
Shahinyan is not included in RPA’s candidate list, the paper reminds.
The paper asked him whether he considers joining another party. The former Republican answered that currently his only party is his wife’s election campaign.
