Non-partisan Tornik Gevorgyan withdraws from parliamentary race
A self-nominated candidate in constituency No. 19 has submitted a withdrawal letter to CEC. He is non-partisan Tornik Gevorgyan, director of Khachraf LLC, spokesperson for CEC Hermine Harutyunyan told Panorama.am.
His registration is still valid until CEC considers his withdrawal letter.
Constituency No. 19 features self-nominated candidates, RPA member Hakob Rafik Hakobyan, Republican Hakob Varsham Hakobyan, a representative of RPA’s Arabkir district office, as well as self-nominated non-partisan candidate Sargis Kocharyan.
Republican Party backs Sedrak Saroyan in this district.
Media reports have been saying that OYP member, Transport Minister Manuk Vardanyan has withdrawn from parliamentary race but CEC said that for the present, the parliamentary candidate has not submitted a withdrawal letter.
Manuk Vardanyan runs for parliament by majority system at constituency No. 25 which features HAK-backed Sasun Mikayelyan, non-partisans Hovsep Galstyan and Mushegh Harutyunyan, and PAP member David Kocharyan.
