Hraparak: Two wings of Prosperous Armenia Party
There are two wings in Prosperous Armenia Party, Hraparak reports. The first wing, led by Gagik Tsarukyan, is a supporter of non-conflict strategy and is ready to accept the game rules of Republican Party. The second wing, guided by Robert Kocharyan, is more radical and is a supporter of confrontation.
Vartan Oskanian represents the second wing. Some want him to become PAP leader after elections.
“The main argument is that he is a political figure and his becoming PAP chairman can solve many problems, including the fact that the party will become acceptable to foreign forces. This wing also discusses Oskanian’s nomination for President,” the paper says.
