Communist Party holds traditional May 1 march
Today the Armenian Communist Party held a traditional march in Yerevan to mark May Day (International Workers' Day).
The march participants gathered near the monument to Martiros Saryan. A rally near the monument to Stepan Shahumyan wrapped up the march.
First Secretary of Armenian Communist Party's Central Committee Ruben Tovmasyan and leader of United Progressive Communist Party of Armenia Vazgen Safaryan were leading the march.
The Communist Party fights for “prosperity and well-being” of the Armenian people, Ruben Tovmasyan told a Panorama.am reporter.
Regarding party’s chances of being elected to parliament, the Communist Party leader noted that if the elections are held fairly and the people are not intimidated, the party will receive “at least 10 percent of the vote.”
