Mukuchyan: I don’t understand how Adibekyan can know that USD 2.5 million electoral bribes were distributed
During a news conference in the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today, a journalist asked CEC Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan to comment on sociologist Aharon Adibekyan’s survey saying that USD 2.5 million electoral bribes were distributed during the elections.
“I don’t know what statistics he has, what methods were used for the survey, what type of survey it was, therefore the survey is incomprehensible to me,” Mukuchyan noted.
Vote buying is punishable by law, but there must be exact facts for the procedure, according to CEC Chairman.
“You can announce any figures, but every consideration must be based on facts,” the election official stressed.
