Elected MP Harutyun Kushkyan submits withdrawal letter to CEC
Minister of Health, newly elected MP Harutyun Kushkyan, ranked 8th on Prosperous Armenia Party’s candidate list, has submitted a withdrawal letter to CEC, spokesperson for Ministry of Health Shushan Hunanyan told Panorama.am.
Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun paper wrote that Prosperous Armenia’s leadership is strained these days. “Party’s leader Gagik Tsarukyan lost his temper after newly admitted PAP members said they objected to PAP’s being part of coalition while old members supported the idea of forming a coalition with RPA because they fear losing their current portfolios. Therefore Tsarukyan forced 8 members to apply to CEC and to renounce their mandates as MPs. In particular, the names of ministers Harutyun Kushkyan and Vardan Vardanyan as well as Ruben Gevorgyan (Tsaghik Rubo) were circulating yesterday.”
Besides, it is rumored that spokesman for Prosperous Armenia Party chairman Khachik Galstyan, ranked 15th on PAP candidate list, has also submitted a withdrawal letter to CEC. Galstyan is not answering Panorama correspondent’s calls.
