Yerkir: RPA mulls sacking governors
Rumors about firing some governors don’t stop in RPA, Yerkir reports.
The ruling party continues to discuss the sack of Shirak governor Ashot Giziryan, Ararat governor Edik Barseghyan and Syunik governor Surik Khachatryan, the paper says.
With the highest voter turnout, nevertheless, RPA’s win in Syunik is rather ascribed to Director General of Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine Maxim Hakobyan who spared no effort in contributing to the win of his son, majority candidate Vahe Hakobyan and RPA in Syunik, the paper writes.
Also, it is rumored that someone from Hakobyan’s circle can be appointed governor. In this way, RPA will return the favor.
Shirak governor will certainly be fired, but RPA sees no deserving candidate to replace him yet, the paper writes and adds that in all likelihood Ararat governor Edik Barseghyan will be replaced by Presidential Advisor Alik Sargsyan.
