Health Ministry spokesperson denies reports of deaths among burn victims of Yerevan balloon blast
“I can say with full responsibility that none of the burn victims of Yerevan balloon blast has died,” Health Ministry spokesperson Shushan Hunanyan told Panorama.am to refute the reports of deaths among balloon blast burn victims circulating on Facebook. Also, rumors said that one of victims had gone blind.
The spokesperson denied the above mentioned reports and added that the burn victims are out of danger.
71 burn victims still undergo treatment in Yerevan’s medical centers, including 5 in intensive care units.
A total of 154 people were hospitalized with burn injuries after gas-filled balloons exploded at RPA’s campaign rally in Yerevan’s Republic Square on May 4.
