Juventus no longer chasing Van Persie
Juventus are no longer in the race for Arsenal striker Robin van Persie as manager Antonio Conte has preferred Napoli's Edinson Cavani.
According to Goal.com, the Serie A champions have pulled out of the race for the Dutch star as they believe his wage demands are too high, with manager Antonio Conte favouring a move on Edinson Cavani.
Van Persie will enter the last year of his contract next season and while he is expected to hold talks with manager Arsène Wenger over an extension, there is a string of clubs hoping they can lure his services in the summer.
Juventus are after a top-name striker in the summer but the club's sporting director Fabio Paratici believes Van Persie will remain in England, choosing Manchester City or Manchester United – who are not understood to be on the race.
