Armenian chess players at U.S. Chess Championship
Varuzhan Akobian was beaten by Roy Robson in the 9th round of the U.S. Chess Championship in Saint Louis.
Gata Kamsky is leading the tournament with 7 points. Nakamura has scored 6.5 points. Akobian is currently in 5th place with 4.5 points.
Tatev Abrahamyan beat Alisa Melekhina with white pieces in the 8th round of the U.S. Women's Championship.
Anna Zatonskih and Irina Krush are leading the tournament with 6 points each.
Abrahamian is currently in 5th place with 4.5 points, website of Armenian Chess Federation reported.
