NTRC issues ruling to suspend administrative proceedings against Kentron TV
The National Television and Radio Commission (NTRC) met today to discuss the issue of imposing administrative fine on Kentron and Yerkir Media TV companies.
NTRC unanimously, with the exception of chairman Grigor Amalyan, decided that administrative proceedings against Kentron TV should be suspended.
Kentron TV showed discriminative approach to coverage of campaign programs of parties during the election campaign period, which violated the provisions of Article 19 of the Electoral Code, head of NTRC control department Hayk Gevorgyan said.
Earlier this month, NTRC had imposed a fine of AMD 1 million on Kentron TV for broadcasting a campaign-natured program during the period which was prohibited by law.
