HIV/AIDS medical cure free in Armenia
People diagnosed with HIV form a closed group though they live in the society and keep their social contacts and communication with other people. They live a double life: they keep secret the disease, they are afraid that it may be unveiled, and that they can lose job; and the second group communicates with HIV infected people, they form their own society and communicate.
Hovhannes Madoyan, chairman of “Real life, real people” NGO said that the second group or “society” is created and supported by the NGOs.
World pays tribute to HIV/AIDS victims on May 20. In Armenia 277 HIV/AIDS casualties (46women and 5 children) have been recorded since 1988.
HIV medical treatment is free in Armenia due to foreign financial aids and Global Fund assistance.
