Yerkir Media TV not fined
At the suggestion of chairman of the National Television and Radio Commission Grigor Amalyan, NTRC issued today a ruling to suspend the administrative proceedings against Yerkir Media TV.
According to head of NTRC control department Hayk Gevorgyan, Yerkir Media showed discriminative approach to coverage of campaign programs of parties during the election campaign period, which violated the provisions of Article 19 of the Electoral Code.
Gegham Manukyan, official in charge of Yerkir Media’s political programs, noted that the law has shortcomings and suggested that NTRC amend the law and submit it to parliament.
