Blues are a cup team - Wenger
Arsene Wenger has had a dig at Chelsea — despite backing them to win the Champions League final, The Sun reported.
The Arsenal boss called the Blues a ‘cup team’, accused owner Roman Abramovich of being trigger-happy with managers and took a swipe at the club’s huge wage bill.
“They are a club that has invested enormous amounts of money every year. Their wage bill is absolutely mind-boggling.
“The moment their results are not up to the mark, their owners react very quickly.
“But as their squad is very mature, they quickly know how to get a grip on themselves and they don’t panic. Their squad always manages to bounce back.
“Chelsea are a cup team these days. Maybe they can’t keep up the pace in a marathon but they can handle a sprint.”
