Gul meets with Merkel and Hollande
Abdullah Gul of Turkey had a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel during U.S. hosted NATO Summit. Turkish CnnTurk said the German Chancellor asked Gul if Turkey would suspend relations with EU when Greece takes EU presidency.
Turkey will suspend relations with EU presidency, but will keep relations with EU commissions and other structures.
It’s reported that Gul had a meeting with France’s Francois Hollande. However, the sides did not highlight Armenian Genocide issue.
“We want fresh start in our relations,” said Abdullah Gul.
