Iran’s Foreign Ministry sends protest note to Azerbaijan’s Ambassador
Iran’s Foreign Ministry sent a protest note to Azerbaijan’s Embassy, Iranian news site “asriran.com” said.
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Aragchi sent Iran’s protest note to Azeri Ambassador to Iran Javanshir Akhundov expressing Iran’s criticism against offensive statements addressed to religious saints in Azerbaijan.
Iranian media said some separatists and nationalist groups and some circles supported by the ruling Yeni Azerbaijan party held a rally a couple of days ago in front of Iran’s Embassy building and chanted offensive statements in address to Iranian Supreme Leader.
