 Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Parliamentary Assembly (PA) 39th plenary session kicked off in the National Assembly, Yerevan. The PA is comprised of 76 MPs from BSEC 12 member states, Yerevan hosts Turkish and Azerbaijani delegations, too.

The Head of President’s Staff Vigen Sargsyan delivered Serzh Sargsyan’s opening remarks to the session. President Sargsyan is quoted as saying that Armenia greatly signifies the mission of international organizations and in particular, the BSEC organization and the further development of the PA as a pivotal factor for the regional cooperation. And despite domestic processes, our country is hosting the participants of plenary session.

“Armenia is committed to believe that only due to the expansion of regional cooperation, deblocking of closed borders, and endorsement of collaboration atmosphere of mutual trust can be established which will contribute to the settlement of disputable conflicts through peace. In this respect BSEC PA role is greatly signified,” said the President in his remarks.

Armenia has assumed the PA presidency for 6 months.
