Ruben Tovmasyan: Prosperous Armenia is not an opposition
The election results do not reflect people’s will, because MPs were not elected but “appointed,” leader of Communist Party of Armenia (CPA) Ruben Tovmasyan told reporters in Yerevan.
When asked whether or not CPA will run its own candidate for president, Tovmasyan noted that it is still too early to talk about it.
“Prosperous Armenia is not an opposition, because the party has not announced it,” CPA leader said, commenting on PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s statement on inexpediency of joining coalition government.
Also, Tovmasyan said there is no need to replace PM Tigran Sargsyan, and he will remain as Prime Minister.
“I think it would be wrong to sack current PM Tigran Sargsyan, because he performs his duties excellently and has deep knowledge of global economy,” Tovmasyan explained.
