Serzh Sargsyan receives Iranian Energy Minister Majid Namjoo
President Serzh Sargsyan received today Iranian Minister of Energy Majid Namjoo.
Majid Namjoo conveyed the invitation of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to attend the summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Tehran.
Praising growth in commodity circulation between Armenia and Iran in recent years, parties expressed the hope that implementation of key energy projects could further boost commodity circulation between the countries.
Majid Namjoo noted that construction of Meghri HPP and a third high-voltage power line between Iran and Armenia will start soon.
President Serzh Sargsyan and Minister Majid Namjoo hailed the activities of Armenian-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission which will hold its next meeting in Yerevan in the coming days, presidential press office reported.
