Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun: Russian-Armenian philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan to invest in education and banking in Artsakh
According to Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun paper, Russia-based Armenian philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan is paying a visit to Artsakh. The philanthropist was received by Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan the other day. Official reports say they discussed issues related to implementation of various programs.
“However, it is rumored in political circles that the visit of the founder of Troika Dialog to Artsakh has an exact purpose. Rumors say he expressed readiness to back Bako Sahakyan in the upcoming presidential elections and then revealed his plan to build an elite district in Artsakh,” the paper says.
The paper contacted spokesman for Artsakh President, David Babayan and asked him to comment on the rumors.
“I want you to know that the atmosphere in Artsakh is quite different, and only Artsakh people can back Bako Sahakyan. As to investments in Artsakh and that meeting, they indeed discussed various programs, and I suppose Vardanyan will invest in education and banking, because it is too small a thing for him to construct buildings,” the spokesman said.
