Azerbaijani diversion attack kills 3; Military Prosecutor arrives at scene
Today, according to preliminary information, Azerbaijan once again grossly violated the ceasefire, trying to break into Armenian military posts in the north-eastern region of the contact line between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan, near the villages of Berdavan and Chinari, Tavush region.
Armenian Defense Ministry’s press service reports that Armenian forces repulsed the enemy offensive. As a result of Azerbaijan’s diversion attack, Armenian servicemen Hrach Sargsyan, Zohrab Balabekyan and Karen Davtyan were killed. Some soldiers were wounded.
The incident is being investigated. Armenia’s Military Prosecutor and Defense Ministry’s Special Investigation Group have arrived at the scene.
Armenian armed forces control the situation at the contact line.
