Putin-Ahmadinejad meeting highlights nuclear program and Caspian Sea legal issue
The cooperation of Russia and Iran is security and peace guarantee for the peoples of the region, Iranian President’s official website (www.president.ir) said President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared in Beijing during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Iranian President, speaking about Russian-Iranian relations, said that the nuclear power station of Bushehri is a good example over which the two states can continue to efficiently cooperating in the future.
Highlighting the issue of legal status of the Caspian Sea, Ahmadinejad said agreement between Iran and Russia may contribute to a common agreement reached by the other Caspian countries.
Vladimir Putin has underlined that Iran is a good friend of Russia and that Moscow has backed in the international platforms Iran’s right to peacefully utilize nuclear energy.
