Falsification of renowned Iranian poet’s identity evidence of poor Azerbaijan's culture
The falsification of renowned Iranian poet Nizami Gyanjiev’s identity is evidence of poor Azerbaijani culture, chairman of Iran’s cultural heritage organization Mohammad Javad Adabi said in an interview with official IRNA news agency.
Azerbaijan dedicated Nizami Gyanjiev’s statue to Rome which the Iranian official called an indecent act.
“Azerbaijan, having not a single cultural value, forcibly annexes those of other states. It can be described as cultural robbery,” Iran’s Deputy Minister of Culture Bahman Dari said. Bahman Dari vowed robbery against Iranian cultural heritage will not be left unpunished.
