14 musicians qualified for second round of Aram Khachaturian international contest
The first round of the international contest after Aram Khachaturian is completed with the jury having qualified 14 participants for the second round, State Youth Orchestra press service said.
The second round of the contest will take place on June 10, the third on June 12 and the final defining concert on June 13. This year the contest was “open” for the violin.
The contest kicked off on June 6, on the birthday of the outstanding Armenian composer. Gifted and professional musicians from Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, China, Korea, Columbia, Italy, Spain, USA, Japan, Great Britain and France are participating in the contest.
